Kids Homework Club
Our after-school
homework club for the children at the Solutions
Family Center meets Monday--Thursday from 4
to 5pm. We need tutors who love working with
children to help with homework, read with the
kids, and facilitate educational and fun activities. Read more about it…

Night Childcare
We need childcare
Wednesday nights from 7 to 8 pm for approximately
20 kids at the Solutions Family Center. Volunteers
needed every other month, once a month, or every
week-- any time!

Opportunities by Month
The following
is a list of suggested donations by month for
2008. We would be very grateful if you could
present these ideas to your church, club, business,
or other civic organization. Start a donation
drive and experience the joy of helping the
children at Solutions for Change! This list
is by no means definitive and we could certainly
use any of these items any time of the year.

January
• Bedding—twin sheets, comforters,
pillows, pillowcases, blankets.
February
• Sock drive and towels, washcloths.
March
• Paper products / office supplies—towels,
toilet paper, cups, plates, post-its, computer
paper, paper clips, pens, notebooks, envelopes,
gift cards for Office Depot and Staples.
April
• Cleaning supplies—Pine Sol, Windex,
laundry soap, dish soap, cleanser, sponges,
trash bags (large and small).
May
• Baby Needs--diapers & pull-ups (all
sizes), baby food (jars and formula), playpens,
layettes, cribs, high chairs, car seats (infant
and toddler), strollers and baby gates.
June
• Household—pots, pans, can openers,
coffee pots, microwaves, silverware, cooking
utensils, glasses, dishes, crockpots.
July
• Gift certificates for shoes (Payless,
Wal Mart), gently used shoes (children and adult),
gas cards for residents to get to work.
August
• Backpacks and school supplies—paper,
pencils, calculators (including scientific calculators),
folders, notebooks, etc. Gift cards for Office
Depot and Staples. Gift cards for school clothes,
or gently used clothes.
September
• Personal Hygiene—toothbrushes/toothpaste,
deodorant, shampoo, soap, razors, shaving cream,
tissues, women’s products.
October
• Homework Club materials—juices
and nutritional snacks, small rewards/prizes,
children’s books, containers (storage),
bottled water, school supplies, educational
games.
November
• Food drive—Canned fruits and vegetables,
peanut butter, pasta and sauces, soups, spices,
coffee and filters, sugar, salt and pepper,
fruit juices, rice, pinto beans, etc.
December
• Gift cards (Wal Mart, Target), and presents
for our kids, wrapping paper and tape, Angel
tree list for your organization.
